About Us

Jackson Farms is a veteran and family owned farming operation, owned by Chess and Lani Jackson. Farming has been part of the family for many generations. After returning home from the U.S. Army in 2003, Chess married Lani and they started the farming operation with only a few head of commercial cattle which has now grown to around 100 head.

Chess attended Mississippi State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Information Science and a Master of Science in Agriculture and Extension Education. Chess has been teaching high school agriculture since 2007. 

Their daughters began participating in rodeo and equine events at a young age. This was a driving force behind producing horse quality hay for quality horses.

Here at Jackson Farms, it truly is a family operation. Chess, Lani, and their two girls perform almost all farming operations. This ensures that our hay is always produced and handled in a manner that will reach or exceed the standard expected by our customers.
